Please join us for our monthly casual get-together. Come to mingle with your fellow members and receive occasional updates from various members of the board.

This month, Stoney Creek residents, James and Judy Oglethorpe will join us. The Oglethorpes lived and worked in Africa and Nepal for almost twenty years. In this illustrated talk, they will focus on the time they spent in Nepal where Judy ran a large conservation and climate change project for World Wildlife Fund. They will talk about their experiences living in this mystical and paradoxical place including working with amazing people and wildlife in two large landscapes ranging from the high Himalayas in the north to the low-lying Indian border in the south. James and Judy trekked in the Himalayas, rafted some of Nepal’s rivers, and experienced two major earthquakes.
